Marshall Califf Reeves, 80, of Marietta, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at his home in Marietta, GA. Marshall was born December 5, 1939 in Spartanburg, SC to Mary Califf Judge and Robert Franklin Reeves and grew up primarily in Macon, GA. He graduated from Lanier High School and then Mercer University with a B.A. in Economics. He served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Captain by the time he was discharged and was stationed in Germany during the Cuban missile crisis. He spent many years working for the IRS and as an independent business man. He was always quick with a pun or sly remark and beloved by all who came in contact with him. He loved the Lord, playing golf, listening to music and spending time with family. He was a member and faithful servant of Eastside Baptist Church. Marshall is survived by his wife, Frances; son Michael (Christy) Reeves of Marietta; daughter Emily (Scott) Day of Marietta; grandchildren, Hannah Grace Day, Megan Elizabeth Day, John Mason Reeves, and Andrew Thomas Reeves; brother Bobby (Harriet) Reeves of Warner Robbins, GA. Public visitation will be held at Marietta Funeral Home 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA 30066 (770.422.1234) on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 4-6PM. A private family graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Memorial donations may be made to Eastside Baptist Church (followeastside.com/home/giving).
