Mrs. Marsha L. Forrest, 81, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on March 21, 1941, the daughter of the late Felix and Mary Nosal Chelstowski, she graduated from Pittsfield High School.
Marsha was employed by the former Eaton Paper Company, where she worked up until their closing. She then moved to General Electric, from where she retired after many years of dedicated service.
Among many things, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, and listening to Polish music. Marsha's family was of utmost importance to her. She loved any opportunity she got to spend time with them, especially attending sporting events with her husband, Ned, and her special family visits. Marsha was predeceased by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Edward "Ned" Forrest, whom she married at the former Holy Family Church in Pittsfield on June 22, 1968. Ned passed away in 2017. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Helyn Chelstowski Carlon, Benjamin S. Chelstowski, and John Chelstowski. Marsha is survived by her sister, Joanne, as well as her niece, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Marsha was a beautiful person who spread nothing but joy and happiness wherever she went. Her greatest pleasure was paying it forward, while expecting nothing in return but the smiles that she brought. While Marsha's passing will leave a huge gap in the lives of the many that she touched, her memory will always be beside all of those were blessed to have known her.
