Mr. Mark B. Todd, age 61, of Bedford, Kentucky, entered this life on May 26, 1960 in Lake Wales, Florida. He was the loving son of the late, Alvin Otho and Nancy Buffum Todd. He was raised in Lake Wales and graduated high school there in 1978. He then attended various training schools to become a paramedic, flight medic and EMT. He had worked for Tampa General as a flight medic for several years. On October 17, 1979, Mark was united in marriage to Donna Valentine in the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Essex, Maryland. This happy union of 15 years was blessed with a son, Mark, Jr. and a daughter, Kristen. He resided in Florida until June 1997 and was a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church in Sebring, Florida where he served as a deacon and treasurer. On March 27, 1997 he was united in marriage to Karen Kay Eades Harden in Avon Park, Florida at Florida Avenue Baptist Church. This happy union of 24 years blended two families together. Mark and Karen moved to Canaan, Indiana, then Madison. He enrolled and graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service, working in funeral service with Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre and Ransdell Funeral Home for several years. They moved to Campbellsburg in 2000 and in 2007 moved to their current address in Bedford. Mark had worked with Humana since 2010. Mark and Karen became very active in the Crestwood Baptist Church in Crestwood, Kentucky. He enjoyed helping to prepare the Wednesday evening meal and the Saturday morning men's breakfast. He also served as the church treasurer, sang in the choir, and had served as a deacon. Mark and Karen were blessed with the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Uganda. In his spare-time, he enjoyed Cincinnati Reds baseball, hunting, grilling out, cooking, watching his grandkids play sports, mowing his lawn, and was known for his green thumb. Most important to Mark was his love for his LORD and his family. He fought a courageous battle with Covid 19 and passed peacefully into the loving arms and hands of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 7:16 a.m. at the Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mark will be missed by his loving wife of 24 years, Karen Kay Eades Harden Todd of Bedford, Kentucky; his loving son, Mark B. Todd, Jr. and his fianc?e, Theresa of Glen Burnie, Maryland; his loving daughter, Kristen Todd Schreiner and her husband, Ray of Linthicum, Maryland; his loving step sons, Danny Harden and his wife, Barbara of Canaan, Indiana, Jimmy Harden and his partner, Stephanie Goble of Madison, Indiana; his adoring grandchildren, William, Damon, Breanna, McKinley, Keenan, Rylan, Shayla, Emery, Mason, Lucas, Nolan, and Henry; his sister, Melodie Todd Pugh and her husband, Steve of Lake Wales, Florida; his sister in law, Linda Daubenspeck and her husband, Larry of Rushville, Indiana; his nephews and his nieces, Ben Pugh (Erica), Mike Daubenspeck (Ashley), Joseph Daubenspeck (Liz), and Sarah Fowler (Jacob); his great nieces and great nephew, Roxie Jo, Flint, Kennedy, and Hazel; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Otho Todd, died September 21, 2017; his mother, Nancy Buffum Todd, September 10, 2018; his father in law and mother in law, Harry Robert, died August 25, 1997 and Eva Flint Eades, died July 13, 2013. His grampy, Gordon Clarence who died in 1976, and his grammy, Gladys Alfreida Neigh Buffum, who died in 2002.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., by Pastor Barry Jeffries at the Crestwood Baptist Church, 6400 Sweetbay Drive in Crestwood, Kentucky.

Friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Crestwood Baptist Church, 6400 Sweetbay Drive in Crestwood, Kentucky.
