Mark John Steinbruecker was born to Glenn and Joyce (Zerger) Steinbruecker on September 16, 1952, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He went home to his Lord and Savior on Friday October 28th, 2022, in Sugar Land, Texas, his home since 1992. On October 12, 1952, he became a child of God through his baptism at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. On May 29, 1966, he confirmed those baptismal vows through the Rite of Confirmation at Good Shepherd Lutheran, Sheboygan.
Mark attended Sheboygan schools and graduated from South High School in 1970. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1974 from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana. Mark spent most of his career in the life insurance industry as a life insurance specialist. He married Susan Marie Russler on November 4th, 1978, and they adopted their daughter Katherine Marie Steinbruecker on October 23rd, 1990.
Mark is survived by his daughter Katherine Bustos and son-in-law Aaron Bustos, Houston, Texas. Katie, his only daughter, was the true joy of his life, and his most fond memories are of holding her at the hospital, and her wedding. Also, his sister Lisa Steinbruecker and her husband Michael Shallue of Kohler, Wisconsin, as well as his former spouse Susan R. Steinbruecker, Sugar Land, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Joyce and Glenn Steinbruecker and his grandparents.
A funeral procession will take place from Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home 1535 S 12th St, Sheboygan, WI 53081 at 12:45 followed by a grave side service will be held at Lutheran Cemetery 1836 New Jersey Ave, Sheboygan, WI 53081 on Tuesday November 22nd at 1 p.m. Following the service, there will be a gathering where food and refreshments will be served.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Valparaiso University or Trinity Downtown. Both were organizations he regularly supported and loved. Thank you from his surviving family.
