Mark Payne age 64, of Smyrna, passed away June 18. He is survived by his sons, Dean (Teena) and Tim (Denise); brother, Thomas Bagby; sisters, Vertice Bagby, Angie Bagby, Lynn Slappey and Audrey Mezo and grandchildren, Alora Payne, Hunter Payne, Ricky Bowles and Jlynn Payne. He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy. Mark was an Army veteran and worked as a delivery driver. His interests were fishing, cooking, UGA football and the Braves. Mark was a loving father and grandfather who loved family gathering on the farm and spoiling his wife.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, June 25 from 11 am to 1 pm with a chapel service following. Interment will take place Wednesday, June 29 at 11 am at the Georgia National Cemetery.
