Mark William Millie, age 56, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, passed away March 1, 2022, after a long illness. He was born in 1965 to Richard and Elaine (Hall) Millie. Mark was a graduate of Fostoria High School, Fostoria, Ohio. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree from Defiance College, Defiance, Ohio. Mark worked as a terminal and regional operations manager in the trucking industry for over 25 years, and was known as the "Freight God" to his colleagues.
Mark loved to fish, honing his skills on Lake Erie in Ohio and on the Cheboygan and Black Rivers in Michigan. Favorite fishing partners in his early years included his grandfather Harry "Gramps", Uncle Bill "UB", parents, and sister. He passed on his love of fishing to his sons, Eddie, Jake, and Maxx. In his most recent years, he enjoyed fishing on Garver Lake at his home in Edwardsburg. Mark also enjoyed collecting sports cards, hosting fish fries, watching horror movies, and coming up with nicknames for most everyone in his life.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine and son, Eddie. Mark is survived by his wife, Angie; sons, Jake and Maxx; father, Richard; sister, Lisa; stepsons, Norm and Chris Barlow; and canine pals, Munchkin and Blue. Extended family and special friends are also left to cherish his memory.
Mark wanted to add a personal farewell to the following special friends: Eloisa, Shelley H., Kelly N., Shelby G., Brad D., Brian B., Eddie P., Rod L., and Mike D. "May God's light shine upon each of you for the smiles you each put on my face."
Per Mark's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be a private family service at a later date.
In honor of Mark the family asks that everyone spend some time with family and friends making memories.
