Mark L. Maines, 57, of Dillsburg, PA went home to be with Jesus on Monday, February 28, 2022.
He was born December 29th, 1964, in Muncy, PA the son of the late Andrew and Alice (Kuntz) Maines of
Hughesville, PA.
Mark graduated from Pleasant View Christian Academy in 1983 and received a degree in radiography from Williamsport Area Community College. He moved to the greater Harrisburg area in 1989 and worked as a radiologic technologist and later as a patient transport caregiver at Messiah Lifeways in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Mark met the love of his life, Kathy, in 2002 at the former New Creation church in Dillsburg, PA where they were married in 2003. While members of New Creation Church, Mark was on the leadership team, volunteered at the churches Outreach Coffee Shop and provided a reach out ministry to a local nursing home. Mark and Kathy were active at West Shore Free Church in Mechanicsburg since 2017. Mark had the biggest smile for everyone and lived life as someone who wanted to be surrounded by people and helping anyone in need. He loved Jesus and shouted His praises even through all the physical hardships he endured through his lifetime. Mark and Kathy treasured their time together and enjoyed two years of retirement taking small vacations in the mountains and spending precious time with their family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Maines (Baublitz) of Dillsburg; one sister Betsy Erickson (Maines) and her husband Jon of Raleigh, NC; three stepsons, Derek Watson and his wife Chelsea of Winchester, VA, Matt Watson and his fianc? Karen Rupp of Dillsburg, David Watson and his fianc? Jennifer Rupp of Wellsville, PA; two grandchildren Alexandria and Evrett of Dillsburg, PA.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mark L. Maines was held Saturday, March 5, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking you to volunteer somewhere you can make a difference to the elderly or in need persons or animals. He spent his life helping others and loved his furry feline family members Mac and Cheddar.
