Marjorie Nichter, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on February 22, 2025 with her daughter, Teresa, by her side. Margie was from Beattyville, Ketucky and born in 1942 to the late Charles and Emma (Tirey) Brandenburg.
Margie worked mostly in food service including the Seymour Country Club and The Townhouse in Seymour before retiring.
Margie was a very beautiful, kind, and wise lady who would offer advice to try and help them along their way. Margie was a sweetheart and to know her was to love her and she will be truly missed by her families and friends.
Margie attended the Church of Christ in Seymour, IN where she was a member for over 50 years. She enjoyed working with her flowers and loved her family and friends deeply.
Margie was preceded in death by her late husband Paul Nichter, and the father of her children, Larry White, brothers and their wives, Chester (Mary), Charles, Karl (Marsha), Elvis, and infant A.C. Lee, sisters and their husbands, Jacquelean (Richard) Derringer, Etta (Rodger) Robinson.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved daughter and caregiver, Teresa White, her believing son Christopher Dean White, sister Nancy (Dale) Gay, several generations of nieces and nephews, her favorite uncle, Junior (Trudy) Tirey of Ohio, a special niece and caregiver, Treasure Trueblood, and her much loved pet dog, Millie Sue.
Funeral services will be conducted by Jonathan Purkhiser on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Scottsburg with a burial to follow at New Providence Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Scottsburg and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.
Memorial donations given in memory of Margie may be given to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society, c/o Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 138 Westavia Boulevard, Scottsburg, IN 47170.
