Marjorie Ethel Rademan was born on December 11, 1931 in the town of Merton to Arthur and Florence Rademan. She grew up on her parents' farm on Highway K with her older sister and two younger brothers. She attended a one-room schoolhouse at Swallow School and graduated from Hartland High School in 1949.
In time, she met her husband Alvin, through her sister, Dorothy and her brother-in-law, Erwin. This was unique as Marjorie and Dorothy were sisters and Alvin and Erwin were brothers. They were married on May 20, 1956 and welcomed three children, Keith, Kevin, and Jean. Their children enjoy a special relationship with their "double cousins".
Throughout her lifetime, Marjorie worked numerous jobs, the most important one being a stay-at-home mother while her children were young. In addition, she worked at Federal Refrigerator in Waukesha and in Hartland at Hartland Plastics, Lake Country Reporter, Hardees, and Cousins. She served as secretary for her local Aid Association for Lutherans Branch 710 for 30 years. She also supported her children while they were in 4-H as a leader for various activities.
Her strong faith was a common thread throughout her life, reflected by her lifetime membership at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Hartland, where she held many roles and volunteered countless hours. A favorite being a Sunday School teacher for over 25 years.
In her retirement, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
