Marion Viola McKenney, age 86 of Plano, Texas passed victoriously from a long struggle with cancer on Monday night, October 7, 2019 at her residence in Plano. She was preceded in death exactly 10 years on the same date by her husband, Ted John McKenney, Jr. Marion was born on May 2, 1933 in Latch, Texas; daughter of William Austin and J.D. Parker. Marion worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and Akron Clinic, in Ohio. Enjoyed years of new and loyal friends in Alpharetta, Georgia. Then returned home to Texas where she was a devoted member of Custer Road United Methodist Church and enjoyed serving in many ways. Marion is survived by daughter Susan and son-in-law Richard Barr; son Ted John McKenney III and daughter-in-law Kenna; grandchildren Rebecca, David and wife Moriah, Sean, and Isabel; beloved and treasured friend, John Cole; sister, Joy Youngblood; brother Frank and wife Doris Parker; and a host of other extended family members and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Women's Hannah Circle at CRUM. Marion will be placed to rest with her husband, Ted John McKenney, Jr., at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
