Marion Inez Barrett Strange was born to Hattie Sydney and Edward Hughes Barrett on August 21, 1924. She lived the majority of her life in Dallas, graduating from Pleasant Grove High School in 1941. Marion was a lover of knowledge and continued to educate herself throughout her life. In January of 1944 she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) L. Strange when he was a pilot stationed at Love Field during WWII.
Marion was born in Kaufman County, Texas during a tornado and continued to be a force of nature the remainder of her life. She was known for her energy and her organization of study clubs, book clubs, and women's groups. She and Bob retired to their farm in Canton, Texas where they soon made close friends and Marion began many projects there.
She is predeceased by her parents, her six siblings and their spouses, her beloved husband, and close friend Marinell C. Price. She is survived by her children Sydney S. Farrier (Bob), and Robert L. Strange (Erline), her much loved grandchildren Sara S. Farrier (Jesus Mendez) and Joseph R. Farrier (Emily Green) and her three great grandchildren, Hunter, Owen, and Heidi.
Today there is a very happy Bob Strange as he greets his "lil muvver" in heaven.
