Marilyn Elizabeth Randolph (Miller) (Gill), age 91, passed away on June 16, 2021. Born in Akron, she graduated from Central High School in 1947 and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber in 1991, where she was an executive assistant for 20 years. She was a talented piano player, and served 8 years as a church pianist and organist. Marilyn enjoyed a competitive game of Scrabble, and lively discussions about American history and politics.
Preceded in death by her loving parents, Mabel and Carl Miller, and her sister, Margery (Miller) Kiser, she is survived by her sons, Geoffrey (SunCha) Gill of Dale City, Virginia and John Randolph of West Chester, Ohio; brother, Allan (Patty) Miller of Bend, Oregon; grandsons, Joseph and Geoff Gill, Jr.; granddaughter, Rachel Randolph; niece, Marcia Miller of Bend, Oregon; and close friend Marie Givens of Akron. Per her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
We remember very much today what she wrote for her mother years ago: "No treasure on Earth can equal the worth of a sweet and loving Mother."
