Marilyn Lanzy-Vinisky
Help us celebrate Marilyn! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Marilyn.
Marilyn "Peanuts" Lanzy-Vinisky, 79, passed away peacefully, in hospice, Friday October 28, 2022. She was born August 11, 1943, to her mother, Mary Redman and father, Albert "Kelly's Pub" Lanzy in Canonsburg.
She married her (rival) high school sweetheart, Gary T. Vinisky and spent the rest of her life with him. In their 58 years of marriage, they raised two beautiful daughters, Lorraine Metzger and Stephanie Holmberg.
All who loved her will never forget her sense of humor, quick wit and warm heart. She was a great listener, advice giver and secret keeper. She loved animals and was always (with Gary) taking in strays. She loved music and dancing with her best friend, Kitty McNeal. But more than anything, she loved her grandchildren, Eli and Zoe Metzger, and Chase and Alex Holmberg.
She will be greatly missed by her sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Lanzy-Lounder; and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Vinisky Whitehill; along with many nieces, a nephew and countless friends whom she loved so very much and spoke with, Facebooked and texted daily! Marilyn was always what you needed when you needed her.
A Mass will be held for Marilyn at Holy Trinity Church in Webster, N.Y. at a later date.
