Passed away on June 23, 2019 in Pine Island, MN.
Preceded in death by husband Clarence; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Kendell Schacht;
brothers-in-law Chester Maxson, Ben Unger Clayton Bishop, and Maynard Hedquist;
sister-in-law Mildred Taylor. Survived by her children Nancy (Dave) Anderson, Neil (Annette),
Judy (Bob) Sanford; grandchildren Ron, Penny, Dina, Jena (Adam), Vanessa (James), LeAnn
(Alan), Emily (Matthew), Joe (fiance Mallory), Heather, Heidi (Angel); great grandchildren
Ashley, Jeremy, Amber, Wyatt & Aubrey; great great grandson Carter; nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many friends. Marilyn was known as Grandma Marilyn to everyone who met her.
She was always excited to have her friends and family come visit her at the resort. Everyone
who stayed at the resort always made a point to stop in and have a cup of coffee a treat and a
hug with Marilyn at her house. She loved seeing all of the people and catching up with them. A
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday (7/6) at 3:00PM at Clara Lutheran Church in Deer
River with the Pastor Peg Christianson officiating. Interment will be in Itasca Calvary Cemetery
in Grand Rapids, MN. Visitation Wednesday (6/26) from 4-7PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home,
Mahler Chapel, 209 NW 1st
Ave, Pine Island, 55963, and also 1 hour prior to the memorial
service at the church in Deer River. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Pine
Haven Community and Mayo Clinic. Also, a thank you to Heather for always keeping her nails painted for her.
