Marilyn Carol Sanders

Marilyn was born in Everett to Sivert and Annie Torve. She married Charles O. Sanders Jr. in 1949 and they were together until his death in 2019. Marilyn was a cheerful, sensitive and supportive mother to her four boys, a creative and resourceful help when homework and craft emergencies arose. She became a secretary for the former Everett General Hospital Pathology Lab for many years and upon retirement devoted much time to producing dozens of beautiful quilts. Charles and Marilyn loved travel, especially the RV life. Since 2019, Marilyn lived at Cedar Creek Memory Care, where she managed to charm the staff until her passing, at age 92. The family thanks them and Dr. Emily Savage and her Everett Clinic staff for her care. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, son Gary, brothers Ormond and Alvin, and survived by her sister Sylvia, sons Charles III, Robert and James, grandchildren Justin Sanders and Shauna Watson, and five great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Gracie, Josie, Tucker and Judith. Services will be April 28 at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery in Everett: Committal Ceremony 1:30 pm, Memorial Service 2 pm, reception following.
