Robert Rey Garcia
Marie Marzec was born on February 17, 1927, to Charles and Carrie White.
She passed on December 17, 2022, at the age of 95. She married Gene Marzec on June 25, 1949. He passed in 2016 after 67 years of marriage.
Marie was loved and cherished by many people, including her children Leeann Mulville (Donald), Craig Marzec (Terri), and Becky Contreras (Rudolph); grandchildren Heather Jones (Chris), Holly Rogers (Chad), Christopher Mulville (Michelle), Jonathan Mulville (Meghan), Alexandra Wiesenfluh (Dan), and Austin Contreras, as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Marie was an educator with the Santa Paula School District specializing in special-needs students. An avid hiker, Marie and Gene's favorite hike was the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim.
Marie was an active member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was also a member of the Ebell Club, and a volunteer for the Santa Paula Society of the Arts. Her retirement years were dedicated to caring for her grandchildren.

Funeral Mass for Marie will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at St. Sebastian Church in Santa Paula. Private interment to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard.
