Beloved mother and grandmother Maria Blanca Melve Martinez, 83 passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024. She was born on November 28, 1940, to Jose and Genoveva Melve and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Blanca was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that drew strength and inspiration from her unwavering faith in God dedicating her life to being a constant source of love and support for her family.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Sisto W. Martinez; Son Isaac Martinez. Parents, Jose and Genoveva Melve; sisters, Consuelo Perez, Carmen Vargas, Juanita Garza, Virginia Rivera, Gloria Morrow; brothers, Joe Melve Jr., Juan Melve, Francisco Melve, and Arturo Melve.
She is survived by her children Richard A. Martinez (Anna), Vicky Martinez Garcia (Jesse) and Toni Waldo; grandchildren Nina Martinez Campos, Gabriel Garcia, Isaac Garcia (Tyra); great-grandchildren Addison Campos, Alayna Campos and Romeo Garcia and sisters Susie Trujillo and Nori Melve.
Services took place on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home. Visitation was at 9:00 AM followed by services at 10:00 AM, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Angel Bright Hospice for the care and comfort they provided in her final days.
