Maria de Jesus Gonzales, age 92, of Oxnard, CA passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 08, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born on October 03, 1926 in Uriangato, Guanajuato, Mexico to Emigdio and Maria Murillo. She was a Ventura County resident for over 49 years.
Maria enjoyed the simple things in life like spending time with her family. Nothing satisfied her more than seeing her family smile. She taught us the values of life with her nurturing ways, and was the matriarch of our family.
Maria is survived by her children; Ofelia Alvarez, Crispin Gonzalez, Maria Gomez, Marina Guzman, Baltazar Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez, Esperanza Rivera, and Mario Gonzalez, brother, Alberto Murillo, 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 10:00pm on Sunday, July 15, 2018 with a rosary to begin at 7:00pm at the Garcia Mortuary Chapel in Oxnard. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Oxnard. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
