A celebration of Margie Reyenga's life, age 94, of Jasper, TX will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2021, at the Tranquility Mausoleum at Oak Bluff Memorial Park Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas.
Margie Reyenga passed away peacefully on March 8, 2021 in Houston, TX at the age of 94. Margie was born on March 19, 1926 in Hope, ARK, the youngest of five children born to Charley and Bonnie Sanders. In 1942, she married Gerald Reyenga which resulted in a loving relationship for 77 years. After moving to TX in 1952, she spent many years as a homemaker. Margie's greatest joy in life was her family. She was tireless in tending to her home and family. She loved to cook. Delicious family meals were a lifelong fixture in her home. Everything she did, she did with love and kindness. To those who came to know her, she embodied strength, determination, and tenderness. Margie was blessed with extended family and many dear friends. Outside the home, Margie worked for 12 years as cafeteria manager for PNGISD and retired in 1982.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her four siblings, and her beloved husband.
She is survived by four sons: Jerry Reyenga and wife, Jeanette, of Cypress, TX; Billy J. Reyenga and wife, Therese, of Lumberton, TX; Dennis Reyenga and wife, Janell, of Fredericksburg, TX; and Ronald Reyenga and wife, Carlene, of Montgomery, TX. Margie is also survived by six grandchildren: Shane Reyenga and wife, Audrey; Misty Hildum and husband, Michael; Beau Reyenga and wife, Christen; Bonnie Harvey and husband, Brian; Brittany Youngblood and husband, Bradley; and Blake Reyenga, as well as nine great?grandchildren. Margie is also survived by two nieces, two nephews, and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake Rayburn Methodist Church, P. O. Box 5014, Sam Rayburn, TX 75951.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care given by Brookdale Champions Senior living facility, Good Shepherd Hospice, and North Houston Transitional Care.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
