Margie Pendarvis Canaday, of St. George, widow of William "Buddy" Canaday, entered into eternal rest on Saturday June 25, 2022, in a Mt. Pleasant hospital after a brief illness.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2022, at Grover United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve Mims officiating. Visitation will be held an hour before the service in the church. Private Burial will be held at a later date in the Murray Cemetery.
Margie was born on April 22, 1933, in St. George, a daughter of the late Lewis Powell and Lettie Pauline Marchant Pendarvis. She attended Harleyville Public Schools, Trident Technical College and retired after 19 years with the Dorchester County Social Services. She was a member of Grover United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by siblings, L.H. Pendarvis, Alton Pendarvis, Eric Pendarvis, Annie Lee Finley and Howard Pendarvis.
Surviving are her sons, William P. "Billy" (Kimie) Canaday, Round O and Bradley Clark (Tara) Canaday, St. George; grandchildren, Jason Paul (Amy) Canaday, Jacob Audis Canaday, George Alexander Canaday and Trevor Rickenbaker Canaday; great-grandchildren, Jackson Canaday, Cooper Canaday and Clayborn Canaday; and, a brother, John Clayborn (Sue) Pendarvis.
