Margie Ann Weathersby Orr, age 82 of Sevierville, Tennessee, formerly of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Margie was born on June 9, 1939, in Smackover, Arkansas. Early in life, she was led to faith in Christ through her father Owen. She married Jerome Orr on June 16, 1957, in El Dorado, Arkansas. She dearly loved being a mother, playing the organ at church, and teaching school. Together with Jerome, they worked in and owned several radio stations. While Jerome was "on the air," she ran the business side of things and cared for their family. Their work took them to New Mexico, through Texas, and eventually to Louisiana where Margie worked in the LSU Library. Margie loved her family and was very proud of her daughter Kimberly, son Paul, and daughter-in-law Summer. She adored her granddaughters Immi and Vivi. She was a wonderful and playful "Gigi," and moved to Sevierville to be closer to them. She also loved visiting Kimberly in DC. She was a member of First Presbyterian Sevierville. She was quick to help others and enjoyed baking bread and pies for loved ones. She could be found at the library, surrounded by books, teaching her grandchildren about the birds outside her window, and practicing piano for hours on end. She loved all things British, Diet Coke, and Mexican food ? she was always on a quest for the perfect tamale. She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Jerome Orr. Her parents, Owen and Eva Weathersby. Her brothers Dean Weathersby, Joe Weathersby, Carl Weathersby, Charles Weathersby, and Floyd Weathersby. Her sister Helen Weathersby Elder.
