Margery ("Gery") Moore Rosa, age 91, died on January 23, 2023 in Epsom, New Hampshire. She was born on October 2, 1931in Newton, Massachusetts, daughter of Henry Sproat Moore, former outdoor editor for the Boston Herald & Globe and Outdoor Life, and Marjorie Crystal Moore-Carroll. She was the wife of the late Gene Rosa. Gery graduated from Newton High School in 1949, and attended Colby Junior College and Museum School of Boston. She was a talented commercial artist, freelance designer and craftswoman for over 45 years, including her artwork in the New England phone directory for many years. She and husband Gene founded Peg Leg Productions, manufacturing and selling original magnets and wooden products from Maine to Florida. After Gene's death in 2002, Gery volunteered with the Senior Companion Program of New Hampshire, serving until 2013. Gery leaves two daughters, Dr. Robin Resch Charlton of Antioch, CA and Martha Gay Herrick of Weedsport, NY, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was the stepmother of Shirley Bourke, Gene Rosa Jr. and Steven and Kevin Rosa, and had 8 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. At her request there will be no service or memorial, but please remember her with a donation to the charity or cause of your choice.
