Margaret Carroll Turner, age 95, of Belton, SC, loving wife to the late Truman Turner until his passing in 1976, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Morningside of Anderson.
Born May 20 1927, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wallace P. Carroll and Pearl Gassaway Carroll.
She traveled and lived in many states until returning to Belton to work in textiles until retirement. Her passion was her family and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandi Henry (Wayne); sister, Mary Davis (Jimmie); grandchildren, Brian Henry, Lisa Yokeum (Matt), and Jimmy Turner (Carla); great-grandchildren, Marc Henry (Hanna), Jon Henry (Griffin Thomas), Megan Yokeum (Reid Quales), Austin Yokeum, Kamron Watt (Brittany), and Draysen Turner; and great-great-grandchildren, Preston Quales, and Knox, Hayden and Kaisley Watt.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Turner.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Doug Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
