80, of Belle, West Virginia and Cleveland, Tennessee slipped into eternity after a lingering illness on August 20, 2024 in Brunswick, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Morgan Edward Helms, who passed in September 2019; parents, Wilburn Woodrum and Delsie Marie (Eugene) Dent; brother, Wilburn (Junior) Woodrum and aunt, Melvira Ann Hill.
Left to cherish her memory are two brothers, Edward Dent (Karen) of Prince George, Virginia, Jim Dent (Thelma) of Belle; three sons, Michael Helms (Kim), Craig Helms (Rachel) and Thomas Helms (Sandra); four grandchildren, Michaela Stephens (Tripp), Kristen Helms, Michael Helms II and Harrison Helms; three great-grandchildren, Colton Rhinehart, Ford and Morgan Stephens along with many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Margaret was the ultimate 'Boy Mom' who enjoyed all of her sons sports, school events and music sessions. She was an avid cook, hospitable homemaker, enjoyed entertaining and cooking for all who entered her home. She loved all the dogs that became like children to her over the years, enjoyed watching western movies and collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia.
A private graveside service was held at Union McMinn Baptist Church in Niota, Tennessee where she was laid to rest with her husband.
