Margaret (Moosie/Maggers) Rodriguez Godina, age 79, passed away July 3rd, 2021 surrounded by her immediate family and close friends. She was born October 17, 1941 in Oxnard preceded in death by her parents Vincente and Angelina R. Godina, her sisters Nellie Godina and Nattie Avila.
Margaret was born raised in Oxnard, attended Wilson Jr. High School, and graduated from Oxnard High School. She worked various jobs throughout her young life, harvesting walnuts, plums, grapes and cotton with her parents and siblings as they traveled throughout California from Ventura County to the San Joaquin Valley in Fresno. She had a special talent working with children and retired as a Teacher's Aide for Juanita Elementary School in La Colonia, to this day many of her students still remember her kind smile and generosity.
Mom loved to love on people, her life was a living example of kindness and giving. She shared her love of food with her family, friends, and was always there for anyone hungry or in need. Her specialties included her famous tacos, chicken mole and fried chicken that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Much like her mother Angelina, she opened her home to anyone in need of shelter.

As well as her close friends whom she loved, adored and were there for her until the end; Teresa Sanchez, Cathy A. Mejia, Ramie Calderon and Nonie Nunez, whom she loved all so dearly and who were there for mom and her children during this difficult time, our family could not have done it without their support and love.
