Mrs. Margaret Miller Gingerich, age 78, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on February 7, 1943 in Daviess County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Noah and Margaret "Maggie" Stall Miller. She was raised in Montgomery and attended school there. On April 16, 1965 Margaret was united in marriage to Aaron Gingerich at the Conservative Mennonite Church in Daviess County, Indiana. This happy union of 56 years was blessed with three daughters, Debra, Dorothy, and Julia. The family resided in Osgood for a short time and then moved to Madison in 1974. She worked with U.S. Shoe in Osgood and then went to work at P.N. Hirsch Department Store in Madison. She later worked for the Dollar Store and with Jones Trailer Sales. Margaret was a long time member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Madison and was now attending the Cornerstone Baptist Church and Green Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, collecting and making dolls, and had made doll clothes to wedding gowns. She loved her flowers, her gardens and especially caring for her grandchildren. Her greatest joy came in getting to hold her great grandson just before her journey to heaven. Margaret died on Monday, September 6, 2021, at 11:42 p.m. at her home near Madison, Indiana with her loving family at her side. Margaret will be missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Aaron Gingerich of Madison, Indiana; her loving daughters, Debra "Debbie" Gingerich VandeWater of Madison, Indiana, Dorothy Gingerich Hewitt of Madison, Indiana, Julia Gingerich Adams of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Leigh VandeWater, Ian VandeWater, Noah Hewitt (Erin), Eric Hewitt, and Alexander Adams; her great grandson, Zachary Hewitt; her brothers in law, Jacob Gingerich, Jr. (Patty) of Montgomery, Indiana; Daniel Gingerich (Venita) of Cannonsburg, Indiana, Joe Gingerich of Loogootee, Indiana; her sisters in law, Viola Wagler of Hartsville, Ohio, Sylvia Wagler of Washington, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Noah Miller, her mother, Margaret "Maggie" Stall Miller, her brothers, Joe, Elmer, Amos, Johnny, Pete, Paul, and Alva Miller, her brother in law and her sister in law, David Gingerich and Glenda Gingerich. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Mike Johnson at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 221 Kuntz Road in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison, Indiana. (ALL VISITATION IS AT THE CHURCH)Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 221 Kuntz Road in Hanover, Indiana.
