Margaret Belle Trent (nee Gardner) 87 years of age, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at The Avon Place Nursing home with her loving husband Ted at her bedside.
Margaret was born on September 5th,1933 and was a lifelong Wadsworth resident. She graduated with the Wadsworth High School class of 1951 where she was a cheerleader. She was a member of The First Christian Church of Wadsworth.
She was the daughter of the late Heber and Hilda (Long) Gardner who had 11 children and a foster child.
Margaret was proud that she was a direct descendant of one of Wadsworth's founding families (the Mills family) for which she received recognition at the 2014 Wadsworth bicentennial ceremony. Margaret worked at several businesses in Wadsworth including Ben Franklin and Wolf's Jewelry,and retired from what is now Huntington Bank as a bank teller. She had many talents and enjoyed making crafts with her husband as well as traveling to Florida and Arizona.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ted, her children Daniel (Mary) of Amherst, and Tina (Michael) Kochis of Naples, Florida; brothers James Gardner (Shelly) of Lady Lake, Florida, Jerry Gardner (Mary) of Copley; sisters Nina Shook of Wadsworth, Mary Lent of Tempe, Arizona, and Frances Papp of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth, brothers Hallie, Charles, Warren and Robert Gardner; sister Alice Warner; brother-in-laws Arnold Shook, Dick Warner, William Trent, David (Bud) Trent and John Lent, foster brother Vance T. Jarvis; sister-in-laws Elizabeth Gardner, Lois Gardner and Dorothy Trent; and nephews Robert Warner and Edward Gardner; father-in-law Lace Trent; mother-in-law Hazel Boissett and step-father-in-law Emil Boissett.
A private service will be held.
