Margaret Elaine Burrow Howell "Mimi" passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 75 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on November 24, 1948, in Atlanta, Texas, and grew up in Linden, Texas. She graduated from Linden-Kildare High School in 1967 and later graduated from North Texas State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Education. Elaine continued her education and obtained her Master's Degree in Business Administration from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. She was the Director of Human Resources for Essilor, formerly Omega Optical. Elaine spent her retirement years being adventurous with her family and friends. She was actively involved with Flint Baptist Church, and she loved serving veterans and others in the Angel Chef ministry. She participated in her Sunday School Class, The Lighthouse at Flint Baptist Church, making many lifelong friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Joe W. and Margaret Lovelace and her husband, Gary Howell of Longview, Texas. "Mimi" is also survived by her sons Richard, married to Amy, and Ryan, married to Amanda. She has five grandchildren Alexandra Richardson, married to Austin, Kali Burrow, Kirstin Burrow, Blake Burrow, and Peyton Burrow. In addition, she has two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Palmer Richardson. Elaine is also survived by her brother Joe B. Lovelace and his wife Renee, sisters Carol Ann Lovelace and Stephanie Torres, and many extended family members who loved her dearly. Her wishes were to be cremated through the Neptune Society and have her ashes scattered with her late husband in the Gulf of Mexico. The family would like to thank Primrose Retirement Community, Kindful Health of Tyler, Home-Aid Caregivers of Tyler, the Christus Mother Frances Health Care providers and staff, Tyler Newcomers, and Flint Baptist Church for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.
