Marc John Pillorge' , 55 Nov 24, 1964 - Dec 16, 2019 Marc John Pillorge' age 55, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 very unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep. He was born on November 24, 1964 to parents George and Debbie Pillorge' in Baltimore, Maryland. With his multiple physical and mental disabilities, he lived his late childhood through the present in a Washington County ARC group home. The staff and other residents in this small home became Marc's extended family. He was happy and content there with regular frequent visits from his own parents, sisters and five nieces. Whenever his parents and family visited, he welcomed them with a beautiful smile and often reached out for a big hug.
Marc loved listening to music, looking at books with pictures of animals and sports cars, going on various outings with his friends and staff, mall trips, bowling, concerts, and the annual lively ARC "Dancing with the Stars" event. He always looked sharp in an endless array of baseball caps or...for dress-up occasions....bowties. At his residence he loved the activities provided and enjoyed socializing with many of the residents and staff. He was given the very best of care in his group home, forming special attachments to many of the caring people around him. In return, Marc brought his winning smile and contagious laughter to all who sang, played, talked or read books with him. His life was inspiring, open and uplifting. Even when faced with certain health challenges, he was strong and determined to beat the odds and did so many times...always with the help of his beloved music player which was a constant comfort and joy to him.
His family was truly devoted to Marc. There are no words to describe the emptiness that is left without him in their lives...he was so loved. And he will always be with us.
Marc was predeceased by paternal grandparents John and Josephine Pillorge' and maternal grandparents, Walter and Phyllis Brown. He is survived by his parents, George and Debbie Pillorge', his sisters, Nicole Pillorge' Walla and Michele Pillorge' Brown, Uncle Walter B. Brown and Aunt Sandra Brown.
A memorial service was held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 10 AM at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Oxford, MD. Burial will follow at Oxford Cemetery.
