Marabelle passed peacefully to join her twin sister Clarabelle, and their mother Clara and father Bill in heaven on Thursday, June 6. She leaves behind five children: Sharon Huntley, Bill Byers (Jeanne), Shirl Aube (Karl), Sandra Ackerman (John), and Sue Torell (Greg), along with 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. There are 3 surviving cousins as well as 3 nieces that she loved dearly, along with many friends and acquaintances that she loved as well. She was born and lived through 8th grade in Lewistown, Montana then moved to Winnett for high school, Spokane for college, and the Seattle area for a secretarial job at Boeing. She married John R. Byers in 1958 having 5 children over the next 8 years. Marabelle worked at Boeing for most of her career life delighting airline customers with her ability to repair vinyl d?cor to its original status if damaged during the build of the airplane. Her Flightline teams could depend on her for anything from prompt correction of damage, to "funny jokes", to good hugs and shared bad coffee. Her career with Boeing afforded her many opportunities for travel to Australia, Korea, Ireland, Italy, France and many more places she and her partners wanted to go. After retirement, she volunteered with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department and moved to Marysville in a 55+ community where she continued her favorite hobbies including gardening, attending the Everett Theatre and always playing pinochle. When she decided she didn't want to keep up the house, garden, cooking and driving herself, she took a tour of Windsor Square retirement Home and gave up her car to settle in with new friends and allow others to help her for once.Marabelle was always in charge of her own destiny. She made decisions that suited her idea of a good life and marched along that path until her dying day, including choosing to go peacefully to be with her first family when it became clear her body was giving out. She leaves her remaining family and friends knowing that she died as she lived - as she wished..
