Manny Caleb Schmidt

Manny Caleb Schmidt passed away much too soon at home on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the age of 26. He was a native of LaPlace, LA, and a resident of Harahan, LA.

Manny was the beloved father of Celeste Simoneaux, the son of Layle Ferraro Schmidt and the late Brian Schmidt and the brother of Brady Schmidt. He was the grandson of Ann Estey, Elizabeth Ferraro, Toxie Schmidt and the late Gary Ferraro, Rick Estey and Patricia Schmidt. He was also the nephew of Nolan and Gretchen Ferraro and the cousin of Eva Ferraro.

Manny lived life with a love and passion for family and friends and he was kindhearted, compassionate and quick to help family, friends or random people he would meet. Manny loved to fish, watch sports, listen to music and hang out with his family. He was also a person who would always find a way to bring laughter and a lighter load to any and all situations. Manny will be missed beyond words, but he will never be forgotten!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA. Visitation on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
