Mamoru Iizuka, 86, of Hudson, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021. He was called back to Japan to be with his parents, Toshi and Teru Iizuka.
Mamoru was born in Tokyo, Japan and lived in Los Angeles, California, Scarsdale, New York and retired in Hudson, Florida. He was a graduate of Siena College in Albany, New York where he studied Business Administration which sparked his passion for banking and finance. He was a world traveler and had a passion for good food and conversation.
Being a kind and dependable father and grandfather was of the utmost importance to Mamoru and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family.
He is survived by his wife, Alla; daughter Janet and her husband, Paul; grandchildren Alexandra Sloane and George Sloane; son, Thomas Iizuka and granddaughter, Cameron Iizuka. He is also survived by family in Japan and many friends, former colleagues who he fondly spoke of.
To all at Solaris Rehabilitation in Hudson, Florida, the family thanks each nurse and caregiver who took care of Mamoru. Through their compassion and love, Mamoru was happy in his final days.
