Clarence Maloy Adams, 81, of Alexandria, VA, passed away at Inova Alexandria Hospital on June 2, 2022.
Maloy was born on July 15, 1940 to the late Clarence and Clara Sawyers Adams in Burdine, KY. After Maloy graduated from Jenkins High School he and his wife Linda Damron Adams moved to Alexandria, VA where he was employed as a Senior HVAC technician for many companies in the Northern Virginia area for over 50 years.
Maloy is survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years, Linda Damron Adams; loving children, Lisa Schwartz of Alexandria, VA, and Toni Jo (Craig) Smrcina of Alexandria, VA; loving granddaughters Courtney Smrcina of Alexandria, VA and Ashley Smrcina of Dubuque, Iowa; sister Alice (Clinton) Anderson of Jenkins, KY; brothers Randy (Marita) Adams of Georgetown, KY and Danny (Brenda) Adams of Jenkins, Ky; sister-in-law, Madonna Damron Rose of Jenkins, KY; brother-in-law Roy (Denise) Damron of Jenkins, KY; special friends Rick and Angie Mullins of Alexandria, VA; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends to mourn his passing.
Maloy was also proceeded in death by sisters, Louise Adams, Linda Lou Justice and Shirley Ann Shepherd; brother, Charles Adams; nephews, Terry Shepherd and Michael Dale Adams; son-in-law, Harris Samuel Schwartz; father-in-law Troy Damron; mother-in-law Evelyn Damron; sister-in-law Dorothy Damron Hall; brother-in-law David Damron; brother-in-law William Danny Rose.
Maloy’s greatest joy was his family. He enjoyed spending time at his home in Northern Neck, Virginia where he enjoyed fishing, raising a garden and hosting gathering with his family and special friends.
Services for Maloy Adams will be held at Jefferson Funeral Chapel in Alexandria, VA. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11:00AM with Pastor Dan Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at Schurtz Cemetery following funeral services.
