Major Lowry Glenn Trull (Ret.), 85, of Gastonia, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on November 21, 1935 in Gaston County, NC, to the late Glenn James Trull and Laura Perry Trull.
Major Trull retired from the United States Army, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired after 20 years of service.
During his military career he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal (1 OLC), Good Conduct Medal Bronze Clasp w/2 loops, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/DVC 60, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, Parachutist Badge, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), Meritorious Service Medal and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm.
In addition to his parents, Major Trull is preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Trull, and a brother, Doyle Trull.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Irma Cedeno Trull; sons, Larry Trull (Kathy), and Randy Trull; daughter, Kathy Nichols (Randolph); brothers, Glenn and Ty Trull; sisters, Dorothy Young and Becky McMillan; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Major Trull (Ret.) will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Gaston Memorial Park.
