After high school she married the love of her life and began a journey of raising her family. She lost her infant son, Gregory O. Cordle, but by God's grace continued in faith and trusted the Lord for the other children he would bless their lives with. She loved visiting the Great Smoky Mountains with her family and working in her flower beds. She also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and The Price Is Right, cooking and baking with her sisters, word puzzles, and playing scrabble on the computer. More than anything she loved God, and her family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a faithful member for many years of the former First Assembly of God, in Albany. In addition to her parents and her infant son, she was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Richard McAfee; and infant sister, Rebecca McAfee. Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 63 years, Gerald O. Cordle of Leesburg; children, Jerry Cordle (Donna) of Leesburg, Vickie West (Steve) of Dallas, and Angela Mims of Leesburg; 7 grandchildren, Kristopher, Brittany, Kaitlyn and Eddie, David and Logan, Michael and Amberly, Lauren, Jacob; 4 great grandchildren, Lindy, Sadie, Brooklyn and Ollie; siblings, William McAfee, George McAfee, Linda Moore, Nancy Usry, Wayne McAfee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
