Mae Elois Channel

Mae Elois Channel "Lois", age 93, passed away on February 7, 2021 while a resident of Carmel Hills in Charlotte, NC. She was born August 6, 1927 in Erie, PA, a daughter of George R. and Mae Senior Anthony. Lois lived most of her life in Newton Falls, moving to her son and daughter-in-law's home in 2018. Lois graduated from Newton Falls High School in 1945 and the following spring married Paul Channel. She was a member of Tops-Kops (Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly) for over 40 years and looked forward to the weekly meetings and missed everybody dearly when she moved. Lois had a storied hobby of going to garage sales and flea markets. She is survived by her son, Coleman (Karen) Channel; grandchildren, Seth Napolitano, Dawn LaPorte, Nathan Channel, and Ashley Blackwell; 5 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Lois in death were her parents; husband, Paul, who passed March of 1982; her daughter, Frances Napolitano; her brother, Harry Anthony; and sisters, Esther Jones, Jean Myers, Margaret Nagle, June Lobring; and a great-grandson. A private service will be held at a later date. The family requests donations take the form of contributions to Carmel Hills of Charlotte or Hospice & Palliative Care - Charlotte Region.
