Mr. Lytle Jones, Jr., of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his residence.
Cone Funeral Home, Bowling Green, KY in charge of arrangements.
A graveside service is scheduled to be conducted at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clarksville, TN on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 1:30 PM. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in the mausoleum. The pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Lytle was born November 29, 1933, in Nashville TN, to the late Lytle Jones, Sr., and the late Gertrude Latzer. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Ann Jones.
He is survived by his three children, Carl Randolph (Melanie) Jones of Warner Robins, GA, Patrick Alan Jones of Bowling Green, KY, and Erica Eve (Brian) Jones of Bowling Green, KY; seven grandsons, Trent, Justin, Cameron, Seth, Jacob, Eli, and Micah Jones; four great-grandchildren, Graysen, Indi, Callen and Finley Jones.
Lytle was a graduate of David Lipscomb University and a graduate of Austin Peay State University. He was a teacher and taught for over thirty years in Montgomery County School District. He preached and served as a pulpit minister and Bible teacher across Tennessee and Kentucky for nearly six decades. He served many Churches of Christ including the congregations at Hilldale Church in Clarksville Tennessee, Sycamore Flat, Shiloh (Cumberland Furnace), Oakwood, Dotsonville, Guthrie and New Providence. He loved the Word of God and read it many, many times through until he was no longer able. His greatest desire was to meet his Savior.
