Lynn Lawler Lee approached everyone in a unique and special way always with grace, kindness and a feisty spirit. She always was willing to share her "bigger than life" smile despite her struggles with Multiple Sclerosis.
Lynn was Born April 9, 1949, to William and Melba Lawler in Longview, Texas. She was a 1967 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Dallas and was named Miss Hillcrest Hurricane 1967. That same year, Lynn graced the Dallas Times Herald Sunday Magazine as Miss 1967 Cover Girl.
Lynn attended Baylor University and went onto earning her bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Texas at Austin. She served as a juvenile probation officer in Austin and an adult probation officer in Dallas.
She married, Marion "Pat" Paschall Lee, II, in June of 1970. Lynn and Pat invested their energy into the lives of their children.
Of all the things she taught those around her, how to overcome adversity with grace was the biggest lesson. She lived this through even the most difficult phases of Multiple Sclerosis, fighting the entire way.
Lynn passed on January 2, 2021, in Southlake, Texas. She is survived by her children, Lisa Honeycutt (Landry Honeycutt), Nicholas Lee (Melissa Lee) and Michael Lee (Michelle Lee); her grandchildren, Brittany Bonneville, Brooke Lee, Caroline Honeycutt, Henry Lee, and Margaret Lee; her siblings, Ann Myers and Gary Lawler; and her in-laws, Nancy and Bobby Brodnax. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
