Lynda Thompson

"May the winds of Heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear how much we love and miss you and wish that you were here".

Lynda grew up in Henry, Illinois, with her two siblings, Jeanie and Don and her parents, Dale and Laura Bowen. She graduated from Limestone High School in 1964 and went on to nursing school afterward, graduating from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. Upon completing her RN, she worked in the ER and at a doctor's office before landing at the American Red Cross where she retired after over 35 years of dedicated service. Lynda was proud mom of her two sons, Rick and Jeff. She married Charlie Thompson in 1983, making her proud mom to Tony, Anna and Kelly. They were married for 34 years before Charlie passed in 2017. Lynda loved spending time with her family and seven grandkids - (add Tony's daughter in age location) Jeff, Charlotte, Evan, Rick, Kate and Sophia. Her favorite activities were celebrating Christmas with her family, gardening, and spoiling her grandkids as well as her beloved bulldog Bandit. She had a passion for all things purple, pandas, and enjoyed watching her favorite hummingbirds in the summer and cardinals in the winter.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at a later date when it is safe to gather together.
