Lyn Covey, age 76 of North Canton, OH passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 following a long-term illness. She was born on October 16, 1944 in Beckley, WV, although she spent the majority of her life in the Akron\Canton area. Ms. Covey was employed by the B.F. Goodrich Company from 1963 to 1983. She attended Akron University and Hiram College. She is preceded in death by her father, Fred Covey, step-father, Jack Rexrode, her mother, Sadie Rexrode, brothers: Fred Covey Jr., Thomas Covey, and Buford Covey, sisters: Blanche Campbell, Jo Fleshman, and Lee Covey, brother-in-law, Robert Fleshman, nephew, Robert C. Fleshman III, and nieces, Sandra Covey and Phyllis Covey. She is survived by brothers, Roy Covey and Charles Covey, and 2 best friends, Pat Kirschner and Cindy Sherlock. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to ASPCA. A private burial will be held in Flint, MI. Arrangements entrusted to the Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home, North Canton 330-452-4041.
