Luther Jacob (Jack) Frost was born on February 25, 1937 and died April 17, 2021. Jack is a native of Central Louisiana who retired in 2002 after 40+ years in television news. During his career he held many positions in radio, television, and newspaper. Jack graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, LA, attended graduate school at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE and at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. He spent 1961-77 in media in Lincoln, NE and subsequently returned to Louisiana in 1977 to continue his long television career. He worked in New Orleans, Lafayette, Lake Charles and Alexandria before retiring. He was honored by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters for his contributions to the industry. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Loftin Frost and Willie Bell Preuett Frost, grandparents William Emery Preuett and Idulia Busby Preuett and Marion Frost and Mattie Farmer Frost. Jack is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughter, Adrianne of New York City and his son of Lafayette, Louisiana.
