Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt went home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on December 26, 2020.
Raised in the Oxnard area, she was the youngest of five siblings (Ralph, Jessie, Stella, Fernando) in what would become the first of a combined family that would grow to have sixteen siblings (Bobby, Moses, Angie, Sally, Jose, Delores, Ignacio, Rita, Selso Jr, Gloria and David). As a young girl she would travel with her family doing seasonal migrant work picking walnuts, apricots and numerous other crops, often missing school and keeping her from completing her education, she would later say was her biggest regret.
Her beauty, red hair, and amazing smile attracted the attention of the man who would become her spouse Manuel Morales Jr. and lifelong partner of 55 years. They would go on to have four children Yolanda Tibbet (Chris), Patricia Robles, Manuel III (Arleen) and Martha.
Moving to Ventura's west end of town in their early marriage while getting work in Oxnard's Chili packing plant she earned the nickname "packer". Often working nights she would still find time to care and tend to her childen. As time went on the family moved several times and finally settled and bought their first home in east Ventura. Mom took a job with the Sunkist Lemon packing house in Montalvo. Long hours and dedication earned her a spot as the "Floor Lady", which she handled like a champ.
After her retirement she enjoyed and was so proud of her beautiful roses. She also attended mass at Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the choir, singing gave her so much joy. Mom made several pilgrimages to Medjugorje, Fatima, and Our Lady of Guadalupe Mexico. She loved reading her bible, early morning prayer, roseries, and going to her favorite bible groups. Her love and dedication to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to family and friends and anyone who would listen was the greatest moments for her. She would often say "how she loved Jesus so much". This has been the permanent mark she has left behind. Knowing that sharing God's ultimate love for humanity is the least she could do for us all.
The prayer warrior will be truly missed.
