A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on May 22, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 84, with his family at his side. He was born on September 13, 1938, in Taos, New Mexico. A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Luis married the love of his life, Romaine, in 1968 and together they embarked on a journey filled with love and companionship. He was a devoted father to his children, Michael and Marleen, and provided unwavering support, guidance, and love to his children that would forever shape their lives. He also found immense joy in being a grandfather to Isabella, Michael, Raven, and Remy. Luis had a deep love for animals and found solace and companionship in their presence. He also enjoyed designing and working on his yard and his meticulous care was evident in the beauty he cultivated. Luis is survived by his wife, Romaine, their children Michael (YuSheica) and Marleen (Gabe), his grandchildren, and his twin brother, Larry (Gloria). He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose de la Luz Martinez and Senaida (Lovato) Martinez, as well as his brothers Luz Jr., Andres, and Margarito. Luis will forever remain in our hearts and be remembered as a kind-hearted and loving man who touched the lives of those around him. His legacy of love, loyalty, and dedication will live on through his family and those who were fortunate to know him. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 6pm at San Francisco de As?s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 10am, at San Francisco de As?s Catholic Church, burial will follow at 1pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Luis F.
