Luella Marie Dunn, 91, of The Villages, Fla., passed away at home in
her sleep Nov. 29, 2020.
She was born to the late Starr and Erva Klinect on March 31, 1929, in
Elyria, Ohio. Lou, as she was known, graduated from John Marshall High
School in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1947. She attended Bowling Green State
University in Bowling Green, Ohio, until marrying the late Richard E.
"Dick" Dunn in 1949.
Lou is survived by two brothers, Marvin and Ronald Klinect, children
Bob (Christi), Kathy (George), Gary (Kim), Pete (Sue), Joe (Pat), and
daughter-in-law Marla, as well as 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff, her sister, Margaret, and
by her husband Dick.
Lou and Dick settled in Cleveland after their marriage, then spent
several years together in Indiana before moving to their long-time home
in Kent, Ohio. They moved to The Villages in Florida after Dick's
retirement in 1991.
The couple also spent many summers at a home they owned together on
Eels Lake in Ontario, Canada, where Lou loved to watch loons and the
many other birds, and where Dick loved to fish and go sailing.
Private family services are scheduled with burial at Standing Rock
Cemetery in Kent, Ohio. A celebration of Lou's life will be held once
COVID restrictions have been lifted.
