Lucy ParenteLucy A. Parente, 73, of Torrington, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022.She was born on April 20, 1949, in Italy to the late Rocco and Ida (Iagrassi) Parente.Lucy came to Torrington in 1958. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1977, fell in love with the atmosphere and lived there for 39 years; returning to CT in 2016. She had many jobs in Las Vegas, but one of her favorites was working as a cocktail waitress at the MGM Grand Hotel. She enjoyed traveling and visited Hawaii, Florida and California and took many road trips throughout the southwest. Lucy was a huge fan of Elvis Presly and was also a huge movie buff and never missed an opportunity to go to the theater. She was a big fan of the Oscars and watched every single year to see who won and what designer gowns were wore. Since she lived in Las Vegas all those years, she of course, enjoyed doing a little gambling.She leaves behind her two brothers, John Parente from Bristol, Anthony Parente from Fort Lauderdale, FL; as well as two nephews, Peter Parente from Fort Lauderdale, FL and David Parente who is residing in Thailand.Lucy was blessed with a good heart and a warm spirit and will be missed.A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 8th at 11:00am at St Peter's Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, CT 06790.
