Lucy Lee Burcker, 91, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away, Friday, August 5, 2022, at her home. Born November 16, 1930, in Lexington, VA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Abraham and Lillian Amella (Fitzgerald) Breeden.
Lucy was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and was an avid gardener in her garden and everyone else's. Family meant the world to Lucy, and no one was a stranger. She loved going to the Martinsburg Senior Center where she looked after other residents, and everyone got a kiss. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joseph L. Burcker; and three sisters, Virginia, Colleen, and Ruth. Lucy is survived by, two daughters, Arys Leather, and husband, James, and Cathy Niewiadomsky, and husband, Hans; two sons, Thomas Burcker, and Dixie, and Joseph A. Burcker, and wife, Mary; eight grandchildren, Neil, Brian, Jesse, Dawn, Joe, Amy, Greg, and Krista; five-step grandchildren, Derek, Missy, Matt, Lynn, and Theresa; 23 great grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Williamsport Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 16421 Lappans Rd., Williamsport, MD. Pastor Reinhardt Stander will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday, August 8, 2022, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
