Lucille E. Lafrance passed away peacefully Saturday December 24, 2022, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a brief illness with her family by her side. She was born on October 18, 1936 in Nashua, NH, daughter of Eva (Trudeau) Vaillancourt. She is predeceased by her husband Robert, Mother Eva, sisters Gert Joyal and Dot Donahue. Lucille grew up in Nashua and was educated in local schools. In 1955 she married her sweetheart Bob, had two children, and went on to enjoy 53 years together before his passing in 2009. In 1963 they moved to Milford, CT and lived there for 19 years before returning to Nashua in 1982. Lucille had a very outgoing and caring personality and enjoyed many friendships through her children's activities, her neighbors, and other associations in her life. She was quick to welcome anyone she met and let them know she was there for them when needed. Lucille enjoyed being a housewife and mother, loved to cook, bake, vacation with family, sit on the beach and root for her beloved Red Sox. She loved to spoil her only grandson Brian. He was the light of her life. She held many jobs over the years but her last job as a clerk at the Town and Country pharmacy in Nashua was the one she most enjoyed. She loved meeting and helping people anyway she could. Always the doting mother. She leaves behind her son Donald Lafrance, her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Paul Major, a grandson and his wife Brian and April Major and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, those planning expressions of sympathy in Lucille's memory are asked to consider Home Health and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH, or Humane Society of Nashua, 7 Ferry Rd, Nashua, NH.
There will be no calling hours. A mass will be held on Saturday January 21, 2023, at St Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St, Nashua, NH at 10:00 am. Interment will be immediately following the service when she and Robert will be laid to rest at the St. Louis Cemetery.
