HAWTHORN FUNERAL HOME
Funeral service for Mrs. Lucille Fields, 85 of Carthage will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Old Center Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lucille Thompson Fields was born on December 9, 1937, in the Old Center Community. She passed away on May 3, 2023, in Bossier City, La.
She was a Christian woman, and was a member of the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Carthage. She loved to be out in her garden, and growing flowers, and she loved her cats.
She is survived by her husband, Clive Wayne "CW" Fields; son, Larry Fields and wife Sarah Fields; daughter, Debbra Britton; sister, Doyle Hodgkinson; brother in law and sister in law, EJ and Erma Fae Adams, sister in law, Linda Fields; grandchildren, Jonathan Gentry and wife Crystal, and Joey Gentry and wife Ashley; great grandchildren, Ava, Brayden, Jaxton, and Adalind. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive Mrs. Fields.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack "AJ" and Reba Thompson, and sister, Mary McKenzie.
