Lucile Leister passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Menig Nursing Home in Randolph, VT on the afternoon of September 28, 2021. Lucile succumbed to failing health over the past several months and had been on hospice that past few weeks.
Lucile was born in Montpelier Vermont to Harry and Jessie Bremer where she attended primary school along with her two sisters Ginny and Mary. During Lucile's teaching career she taught in both the Stockbridge and Hartford school systems. Lucile and Bob raised a loving family of four children living mostly in central Vermont. Life took them to Maine for a few years after the children had left home where they enjoyed sailing their beloved "Patchwork" on the Maine coast.
Lucile had many hobbies including gardening, traveling, and she was an avid reader. Lucile found a new love in quilting during a year of sabbatical in Montana. She soon became an avid quilter and was one of the founding members of the Green Mountain Quilters Guild. Her quilts have been on display on many occasions. She won the Bicentennial Quilt Competition locally placing her "Stars over America" quilt on display in the Smithsonian Museum as the Vermont entry of the fifty state display.

She is survived by her children Chris Leister and family of Barnard, VT, Harry Leister and family of Hartland, VT, Mary Eastridge and family of Radford, VA, and Scott Leister and family of Williston, VT.
