Lowell "Gene" Finch, age 90 of Montgomery, Texas was called back home by God on Monday, February 28, 2022. He was surrounded by his wife of 71 years, Marvelle and his sons, Randy and Brad and daughter-in-law, Colleen. Gene and Marvelle grew up in Nolan, Texas and first met when they were 3 and 2 years old, respectively, and have been together until his death. Gene was a veteran of the US Army and served in Japan during the late stages of the Korean War. He and Marvelle were long-time entrepreneurs, innovators and pioneers in building an international fashion jewelry company. Their career led them to recruit, train and manage hundreds of people around the world. When they retired in 1993, they moved to April Sound and became actively involved in their community and church.
Gene is predeceased by his father, Edgar Derrall Finch; his mother Sylvia Nadine Moore Slaughter and his sister, Gayle Finch. He is survived by his wife, Marvelle; brothers, Benton (wife Kay), Tom (wife Martha) and sister Nancy (husband Danny); his son Randy and his wife Wai Choo and son Brad and his wife Colleen. Gene leaves his wisdom of life, ranching and the great outdoors to four grandsons, Sean (fianc? Kate), Chayne (wife Sarah), Spencer (wife Kristy) and Elliott (wife Sarah). These memories are already being shared with his seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Madeline, Kylie, James, William, Lincoln, Harrison and a new baby due this Spring.
We request all of Gene's loved ones and friends to join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, March 12, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am at April Sound Church, 67 1/2 April Wind Drive South, Montgomery TX 77356.
